You have a bunch of extroverted solopreneurs telling you constantly that if you’re going to be successful then social media is your number 1 choice.
You tried it, but it just doesn’t feel like you “Fit In”
You probably made a New Years Resolution to be a bit more outgoing and less of a bore to our extroverted dominated world.
But then again you feel like a fake.
You also want to build a home business so that one day you have that golden option of quitting your job.
You discover that Blogging would be your perfect ticket, but there comes some strings attached to blogging and that is to become more SOCIAL.
Although it would be great to build a social following, you may feel like using Social Media may be your only ticket to success.
But being very social on social media is for some people and not others.
There are other avenues you can take and focus on besides using Social Media.
What are they?
First, you need to figure out your goals before you do anything, and these goals will be aligned with who you are.
In this post I will discuss creating goals that are aligned with you and what you’re trying to accomplish as an introverted solopreneur blogger.

First let’s make this clear!
You are not 100% an introvert!
If you’re blogging, then you have some characteristics of an extrovert.
You want the world to see what you wrote, but yet you’re not “loud” about it.
Do you really have to be that “loud” in order to be noticed?
Or is it best to be in the right places with the right people?
And, as far as the right people, who are they and how can you attract them?
When it comes to blogging, this is vital to really get you and your blog noticed. The way that you brand yourself and who you brand yourself towards is the spark that’s going to get things going.
Now social media is a great way to engage others who are in your target audience and build trust, showing how competent you are with the information that they’re interested in.
But the key is that you want to become a “go to” person for specific personalities that are aligned with who you are and your content.
Social Media is a great platform but it’s not the only platform that can be used. You want to be on platforms that you feel are aligned with who you are instead of forcing yourself to “put up with” trying to succeed on platforms and strategies that are not..
This is why having goals that are aligned with all that is you and your blog is more important to establish than to just focus on social media or any type of platform before going into action.
We all have our favorite writers.
Especially in the blogging world. There are certain bloggers that resonate with each one of us so well that it feels like they’re always talking directly to you.
It may seem like you can relate to each of their stories consistently.
And at the same time there are a lot of people that can relate to you.
As an introverted solopreneur, we don’t like to express ourselves to everybody, which is why in an ironic way, blogs are an introverted solopreneur’s open diary to the world.
A vital goal is to find people who are similar to you.
When you can consistently do this, you start to build an audience that can directly relate to you well and vice versa.
And you do this by just being your unique self.
But lets get further into more detail of goals that’ll help bring great results to your blog while you’re being your unique self.
Figure Out Who You Want To Target
It’s very clear that you really don’t want to chase people.
That’s just too much energy for you to put into.
Especially if you were to put forth the same energy on Social Media.
Yes, being social on social media isn’t your thing.
But one thing you can do is be the Target that your potential audience is looking for. Wouldn’t it be great if you can just attract the right people to you?

You want your potential audience to get to know who you are and what type of content you will deliver for them. This will filter out the ones that can’t relate to you and your content so you can attract the ones that are really intrigued by the information that you share.

Like I mentioned before, you’re not 100% introverted.
It may be your dominant trait, but if you’re blogging, then it shows that you have some extroverted traits.
And when you’re visitors leave genuine comments it shows how valuable your content is to them.
Whenever you get comments, you definitely want to reply to them as soon as you can.
This shows that you appreciate your visitors for taking the time to come to your blog, reading it, and leaving a comment.
Do you have to leave a really long reply? Not necessarily.
But you do want to be personable and on top of that, it’s a great alternative to social media.
With this is mind, you don’t have to feel awkward trying to fit into the social media crowd Instead your audience will come to you which leaves you room to be more comfortable within your own environment whenever you reply to their comments.

You write a blog post, publish it within the blogging communities, and wait for comments so you can reply to them.
One tactic that helped me to get this going was going to other blogs and leaving comments. Not only did I get replies, but also the more serious bloggers came to my blog post to reciprocate the same.
With consistency you can build a nice following as you and others within these communities support each other making it a win/win for everyone.

Monitor Your Traffic Stats By Using Tools Like Google Analytics
You can create your goals but there are times where you’ll have to do some modifications to them.
There’s no use of doing the same thing over and over again expecting to get better results within a certain limit of time.
When you’re not progressing with your blog, you want to figure out why?
For example, there may be some blog posts that are getting better results than others.
So the question is how could you determine this?
To do this, you want to use analytic tools like Google Analytics.
This tools allows you to see which blog posts are performing well, why other’s are not, shows you which sites are giving you the most traffic, the average number of visitors coming to your blog per month, and much much more.
There are different metrics you can use, which are different measuring statistics within Google Analytics that allows you to measure your blog’s performance.
You may also want to test and see how each of your blog posts are performing wherever you share them online.
You can get clues as of what sites or groups on social media is giving you the best traffic versus others.
If you use paid ads, you may also want to see which ads within your marketing campaigns gives you the best results.
This would be another great utilization of Google Analytics to see what ads or social media groups you want to focus more on and you can achieve this via Google URL Builder.
If you’re dominant trait is introversion, it doesn’t mean that your options are small.
You may get intimidated by those extroverted bloggers who seem like they have the world in their hands.
But you know what?
They’re doing what works best for them as you will do the same.
And one mindset change is to think of yourself as the target in order to attract your target audience.
Using the strategies and alternatives here will definitely give you enough leverage to not feel so intimidated by those successful extroverted bloggers.
You just have to be consistent with these strategies as well as track the performance of your blog posts.
These aren’t the only strategies out there but they will definitely give you a head start.
