Why Most Bloggers Fail Right Before Reaching Gold

Patience.

Do you have it?

I often lacked it.

Hell, sometimes I still do.

But I’ve learned one little secret to success.

Patience will bring you anything you want.

[bctt tweet=”Patience will bring you anything you want. “]

On the flip side, lack of patience will prevent you from getting it.

The bigger the goal, the more patience required.

It isn’t an easy skill to develop.

People value their time.

“I’ve been working hard for months and still no results? No thanks. I’ll quit here. This obviously isn’t for me.”

You can’t blame them when you think about it.

I mean, what are we ALL programmed to do when we can’t figure something out ourselves?

Leave it to someone else.

And it’s the same thing with newbie bloggers who have potential but end up quitting before they realize it.

They have everything necessary to be GREAT: a brain that works, eyes, fingers to type with, and a beating heart.

…But they lack something non-physical.

Patience.

“I’ve been writing for a year and I just don’t feel like I’m going anywhere. Maybe blogging isn’t for me. Other people yes, but not me. I’ll leave the blogging stuff to the real writers”.

Real writers?

And by “real” you mean what, exactly?

People with a pulse?

Come on now…

Everyone who starts writing is a real writer.

Everyone who quits is no longer a real writer.

Get it?

But what you’re really saying is, “Well, I know if I keep writing, eventually I’ll be great. However, I don’t have the patience to wait.”

…Whether you’ll admit that or not.

I’ve seen MANY bloggers quit.

Way too many.

Just before reaching gold, they turned around and considered themselves a failure.

Again, I get it.

Patience doesn’t come naturally too most people.

And when you quit something, you want to quit it completely.

You don’t want the reminder of quitting, lingering around.

The older I get, the more people I meet, and the more things I discover; the more I realize how so many people NEVER accomplished something they felt good about.

The reason?

They always quit too early.

Look, I’ve been writing for over a year now.

I’ve had fairly more success than the average new blogger.

However, I’m nowhere near where I want to be

Sure, I’m comfortable…But not satisfied.

There’s a huge difference.

…And you know what?

There’s been times where I’ve been fed up, tired, annoyed, and frustrated that I’ve yet to reach my goal.

But guess what happens day after day, month after month?

I get a little bit closer and closer to my destination.

My car is slow (frustration) but it has an unlimited supply of gas (patience).

Patience has knocked out frustration in every fight they’ve been in.

And no matter how slow your car is, if it has gas, it’s getting you to your destination.

You follow me?

Every month, I see increases in my traffic and income.

Neither of the two have increased by 100% from one month to another.

But there’s yet to be a single month where I had less traffic or sales than the previous month.

Why does this happen?

Patience. Patience. Patience.

I know that my car is moving and each minute that goes by, I’m a little bit closer.

Whether it takes me another year, 3 years, or 5 years; I will get there.

…And I’ll show you every single thing I do to get there as I’ve always done.

I know it’s lonely at the top and I want company when I get there.

If you want to succeed as a blogger, you need to commit 5 years.

Now, I know that will be disappointing news to most people.

Many will leave my website and never come back.

Good.

I don’t want you here if I can’t help you.

I don’t want to waste your time and don’t want you wasting mine.

I can’t promise you success overnight.

…Anyone who does make you that promise is LYING to you.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

What I can do is give you real systems I’ve put in place that have gotten me results.

Every article I’ve published has been for a reason…It got me results.

And how did I get those results?

Hard work, yes.

But most importantly…Patience.

“Before great success comes, you will surely meet with temporary defeat.”

– 3 Feet from Gold by Sharon L. Letcher

Is hard work necessary?

Yes, but you can stop working at any time.

Is motivation necessary?

Yes, but motivation is temporary.

Patience, however, will never let you down.

It won’t allow you to quit.

It won’t allow you to find excuses.

But most importantly, it won’t allow you to fail.

Anyone who is or will ever be successful will be able to tell you all about patience.

Trust me.

Take it from someone who has studied MANY successful people, read many books on success, and watched hours of documentaries of great leaders.

Success will always require a fair exchange; your patience for its rewards.

That was a good quote, I should copyright it. (haha)

Just remember that you only fail the moment you decide to quit.
